Ever curious who in the heck invented the necktie or where it came from? Who cast the spell of neckties to the business professional’s attire?
It appears that the necktie originated in 210 B.C. when the first ever Chinese Emperor decided to make life-like replicas of all the soldiers in his army - that’s literally thousands of terracotta replicas of his army - and each one had a cloth around its neck.
As many times as I’ve tried, I always forget how to tie a tie. I worked at Dillard’s for a short period of time, and I spent my long and boring days trying to learn different tie knots. The only problem is, I’d have to be looking at a cheat sheet and it would take me 15 thousand tries.
I know how difficult it is to tie a tie, let alone remember how to tie it a year later! I’ve included a helpful video that provides step-by-step instructions on tying that tie!
